Estimate Generator

An estimate or quote in PDF. No account.

Fill in your details, add line items, set a valid-until date, and download a clean PDF estimate or quote, all in your browser. Switch the heading between Estimate and Quote with one toggle. No account, no watermark, and no data sent anywhere. Your numbers and your client's details stay on your device. Add a tax rate or your logo and the totals update as you type.

How it works

The tool runs as JavaScript in your browser. As you type it redraws the live preview on the right and recalculates the subtotal, tax, and total. When you click Download PDF, jsPDF builds the file on your machine and saves it to your downloads folder. Nothing is sent to a server, so it works with your connection off.

Nothing is uploaded

This tool builds the PDF on your machine with your browser. Your estimate, your client's details, and your logo never touch a server. That is the difference from the quoting sites that make you sign up: there is no account here because there is nothing to store.

Questions people ask

What is the difference between an estimate and a quote?

An estimate is an approximate figure. It says roughly what the work should cost and can change once the scope is clearer. A quote is a fixed price for a defined scope, usually good until a stated date. Same document, different promise. Use the toggle to label yours correctly so the client knows which one they are reading.

Is an estimate or quote legally binding?

An estimate is not a binding price. It is your best guess, and the final invoice can differ if the work changes. A quote is closer to an offer: once the client accepts it within the valid-until window, both sides usually treat the price as agreed. The exact effect depends on your wording and local law, so keep your terms clear.

Can I turn an estimate into an invoice later?

Yes. Once the client accepts, reuse the same line items and totals, change the heading to Invoice, and give it an invoice number. The Invoice Generator does that with the same layout. Nothing here is stored between visits, so keep the PDF you download as your record.
