QR Code Generator

A QR code that never expires.

Type a link or any text and this tool turns it into a QR code you can download as a PNG or SVG. The code points straight at your text with no redirect, no tracking, and no expiry, so it keeps working forever. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded.

Static beats "dynamic"

Most free QR generators hand you a "dynamic" code that redirects through their server. That lets them track scans, and it lets them switch the code off or start charging once you have printed it. This one encodes your link directly. There is nothing in the middle to break.

How to use it

Paste your URL or text, pick a color and size, and download. For print, choose SVG so the code stays crisp at any size. For screens and slides, PNG is fine.

Questions people ask

Do these QR codes expire?

No. This is a static QR code: the link is encoded directly into the pattern, so there is no redirect in the middle that a company can switch off or charge you to keep alive. It works as long as the destination page exists.

What size should a QR code be for print?

Use the 10-to-1 rule: a scanner needs the code to be roughly one tenth of the scanning distance. For a poster read from 2 metres away, print it at least 20cm wide. On a business card, 2cm square is a safe minimum. Download the SVG for print so it stays sharp at any size.

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. The QR code is generated entirely in your browser. The text or link you type never leaves your device and nothing is uploaded to a server.
