How do I flip an image horizontally?

Load your image and press Flip horizontal. It mirrors the picture left to right, so anything on the left side moves to the right. Press Flip vertical instead to turn it top to bottom, or press both to flip it fully around.

Is flipping the same as rotating?

No. Flipping mirrors the image across an axis, which reverses left and right or top and bottom and makes text read backwards. Rotating turns the whole image around its center, so text stays readable. This page starts with a horizontal flip; the full tool also rotates in 90 degree steps.
