Why do I need to mirror an image for iron-on transfers?

Transfer paper and heat-transfer vinyl are pressed face down, so the design flips over when it lands on the fabric. If you print text as it looks on screen it ends up backwards on the shirt. Mirror the artwork first and it reads correctly once it is pressed.

Does mirroring change the quality or size of the image?

No. Mirroring only reverses the pixels left to right, so the dimensions and the detail stay identical. Export as PNG to keep it lossless for printing, or JPEG for a smaller file.

Is my image uploaded?

No. The mirror is applied on a canvas in your browser, so your artwork never leaves your device. It works offline and nothing is stored.
