A Instagram caption can be up to 2,200 characters. Instagram allows up to 2,200 characters in a caption, but only the first 125 or so show before the more link. It also caps hashtags at 30. Tips for Instagram
- Front-load the hook: only ~125 characters show before more, so put the point first.
- Instagram allows a maximum of 30 hashtags per post; more than that and the caption may not post.
- Line breaks in captions can collapse; use a line-break generator if spacing disappears.
