A X (Twitter) post can be up to 280 characters. A standard X post is capped at 280 characters. Links count as 23 characters no matter their length, and each image or poll does not use any. Tips for X (Twitter)
- The 280 limit counts every character including spaces and emoji. Some emoji count as two.
- A URL always counts as 23 characters, even a long one, because X wraps it in t.co.
- X Premium raises the limit to 25,000, but the first 280 are what show in the timeline before the Show more fold.
